Goals
- IoT devices talking to each other and coming to consensus on an event, or to a DB and recording some information
- IoT devices talking to the web & performing some action
- Have to purchase certificates or rent them from Verisign → this is the problem they are wanting to solve.
- MQTT protocol.
- Problem he is trying to solve for → instantaneous connection / access to the devices. Presently the devices connect to a shadow device in the cloud. WANBoard company has implemented some kind of blockchain technology on their devices.
- Consider that the IoT devices want to have additional security in that a new rogue device wants to join the IoT device list
