Rholang Sprint 8 Retrospective
Retrospective
What did we do well?
- Eitan Chatav (Unlicensed): Pair programming with Kyle and Joe went well
- Medha Parlikar (Unlicensed): We have an idea on crypto on RChain
- Michael Stay (Unlicensed): Lexical Namespaces - we had a breakthrough
- Former user (Deleted): Pair programming was good. I thought that the crypto discussion was going to result in transaction crypto being the same. I learned that it wouldn't be. I had to course correct as a result.
- Medha Parlikar (Unlicensed): Dan Connoley stood up the web compiler that Kent built. Will be fantastic for the SDK 0.1 release.
- Kyle Butt: Great work on getting the spec aligned with the compiler and vice versa.
- Eitan Chatav (Unlicensed): Code review process provided good feedback to me on my approach to crypto.
What should we have done better?
- Michael Birch (Unlicensed): Didn't have strong deliverables, I got a lot of reading done. During the CASPER standup I did get direction from Greg.
- Eitan Chatav (Unlicensed): Got some pointed feedback during code review from Chris that informed me that I may not had the best approach for crypto. Need to update the documentation.
- Eitan Chatav (Unlicensed): Dev branch is not compiling.
- Former user (Deleted): I have a PR that I need to submit. Will do so this afternoon.
Actions
- Eitan Chatav (Unlicensed) I need to talk to Timm Schäuble on the VM. I think I was wrong to believe that it only belongs in the grammar, I think it needs to belong in the OpCodes or Primitives. Need to schedule a time to discuss.
- Eitan Chatav (Unlicensed): Update the documentation around crypto post meeting.
- Eitan Chatav (Unlicensed): Dev branch is not compiling for him.
