According to Greg, we will want at least 20 instances of MainNet Coop nodes in two US regions. So far we have created RNode instances only in single GCP zone (data center). This is not resilient against zonal outages. For (almost) the same money, we can let GCP distribute group of node instances into 3 zones in one region, resulting in better high-availability. To manage persistent state, a regional disk has to be used, resulting in double storage price (for SSD data disk).
